Ski Cervinia for Less: Save 30% on Your Ski Pass in 2026/2027

ski-school-cervinia

When is the best time to ski in Cervinia?

If you ask me, there isn’t one single answer.

Christmas has its magical atmosphere, February offers long sunny days and excellent snow, and Easter can bring some of the best spring skiing of the season.

But there are two periods of the winter when Cervinia offers something particularly interesting: excellent high-altitude skiing, fewer crowds and a significant saving on your ski pass.

For the 2026/2027 winter season, Cervino Ski Paradise has introduced a special promotion offering a 30% discount on the ski pass for guests staying at participating accommodation providers.

And there is a very important detail.

You don’t have to give anything up.

You can still ski between Breuil-Cervinia, Valtournenche and Zermatt, enjoy the spectacular Matterhorn scenery and spend your days on some of the highest slopes in the Alps.

So, if you’re planning your next ski holiday and have some flexibility with your dates, this is definitely an offer worth considering.
Here is the list of hotels participating in this initiative.

When Is the 30% Cervinia Ski Pass Promotion Available?

The promotion is available during two specific periods of the 2026/2027 winter season:

24 October – 4 December 2026

and

5 April – 2 May 2027

These are two particularly interesting periods to visit Cervinia.

The first one covers the beginning of the winter season, when the resort is already benefiting from its high-altitude terrain and the glacier at Plateau Rosa.

The second takes place during the final weeks of the winter season, when spring skiing can offer fantastic conditions at altitude, longer days and a completely different atmosphere from the busy Christmas and February periods.

Cervino Ski Paradise officially lists the 2026/27 winter season as running from 24 October 2026 until 2 May 2027.

Planning Your Ski Trip : Why Booking Early Makes All the Difference

How Does the 30% Ski Pass Promotion Work?

The promotion is available to guests who stay for at least four nights at one of the accommodation providers participating in the initiative.

The package combines:

  • Hotel accommodation
  • Half-board treatment
  • A ski pass for the same number of skiing days
  • Access to Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche
  • Or an International ski pass including Zermatt
  • A Winter Card offering additional discounts and benefits

The idea is simple: instead of booking your hotel and ski pass separately, you can take advantage of a package designed specifically for these quieter periods of the season.

And because the discount applies to the ski pass, the saving becomes increasingly interesting the longer you stay.

Cervinia Ski Promotion 2026/2027: Package Prices

The promotional packages are calculated per person, based on two people sharing a standard double room in a 3-star hotel with half board.

The prices below are based on the average rate and can vary depending on the accommodation category.

StaySki AreaPrice per person
4 nights + 4 ski daysCervinia & Valtournenche€540
4 nights + 4 ski daysCervinia, Valtournenche & Zermatt€600
5 nights + 5 ski daysCervinia & Valtournenche€650
5 nights + 5 ski daysCervinia, Valtournenche & Zermatt€725
6 nights + 6 ski daysCervinia & Valtournenche€775
6 nights + 6 ski daysCervinia, Valtournenche & Zermatt€870
7 nights + 7 ski daysCervinia & Valtournenche€900
7 nights + 7 ski daysCervinia, Valtournenche & Zermatt€1,000

These prices are particularly interesting when you consider that accommodation, half board and the ski pass are bundled together.

Cervinia or Cervinia + Zermatt?

One of the most important decisions you’ll have to make is choosing which ski area you want your package to include.

There are two options.

zermatt-ski

Cervinia & Valtournenche

This is the more affordable option and gives you access to the Italian side of the Matterhorn ski area.

It’s an excellent choice if you:

  • Are visiting Cervinia for the first time
  • Prefer skiing on the Italian side
  • Are travelling with children
  • Enjoy wide, well-groomed pistes
  • Don’t necessarily need to ski in Switzerland
  • Want to keep the total cost of your holiday lower

And don’t underestimate the Italian side.

Cervinia and Valtournenche offer plenty of skiing for a full week, with terrain suitable for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers.

Skiing to Zermatt: Is the International Package Worth It?

For many visitors, the possibility of skiing from Italy into Switzerland is one of the main reasons for choosing Cervinia.

The International package includes:

Breuil-Cervinia + Valtournenche + Zermatt

And this opens the door to one of the most spectacular ski areas in the Alps.

You can start your day in Italy, cross the border on skis and spend several hours exploring the Swiss side before skiing back towards Cervinia.

The scenery is extraordinary, with the Matterhorn and the surrounding 4,000-metre peaks providing a backdrop that is difficult to match anywhere else.

The price difference compared with the Italian-only package is relatively modest considering the additional terrain and experience.

For a week-long holiday, I would personally consider the International option, particularly if it’s your first visit to Cervinia.

Why These Periods Can Be So Good for Skiing

The biggest advantage of these dates isn’t simply the price.

It’s the combination of snow, space and value.

Early Season: 24 October – 4 December

The beginning of the season is particularly interesting because Cervinia’s altitude gives it a significant advantage.

The highest part of the ski area reaches well above 3,000 metres, while Plateau Rosa is located at around 3,500 metres.

This means that even when lower-altitude resorts are still waiting for winter to arrive, Cervinia can already offer skiing at altitude.

For skiers who simply can’t wait to get back on snow, late October and November are an excellent opportunity.

And because it is before the traditional Christmas holiday period, the atmosphere can be considerably quieter.

Spring Skiing: 5 April – 2 May

If you prefer sunshine, longer days and a more relaxed atmosphere, the spring period is potentially even more attractive.

April is one of my favourite times to ski in the Alps.

You can often enjoy a completely different experience compared with January or February.

Start early in the morning when the snow is firm and perfectly groomed, ski higher as the day progresses, stop for lunch on a sunny terrace and finish the afternoon enjoying softer spring snow.

And at the end of the day, you can sit outside in the sunshine rather than immediately reaching for your winter jacket.

Of course, mountain conditions always depend on the weather and snowpack, but Cervinia’s altitude gives spring skiing a major advantage.

How Much Can You Save?

The promotion offers a 30% discount on the ski pass for eligible guests.

This is particularly valuable for longer stays.

The longer you ski, the more the saving on the lift pass can contribute to reducing the overall cost of your holiday.

But there is another advantage that is easy to overlook.

You’re also travelling during periods that are generally outside the busiest Christmas, New Year and February holiday weeks.

That can mean:

  • Less crowded slopes
  • Shorter queues
  • More relaxed restaurants
  • Easier hotel availability
  • More choice when booking accommodation
  • A more peaceful mountain experience

For me, that’s what makes this promotion particularly attractive.

You’re not simply paying less.

You’re potentially getting a better ski holiday for your money.

What Is Included in the Package?

The promotional package includes:

Accommodation

A stay of 4 to 7 nights in a 3-star hotel with half board.

Ski Pass

A ski pass covering the same number of skiing days as nights included in the package.

You can choose between:

  • Breuil-Cervinia & Valtournenche
  • Breuil-Cervinia, Valtournenche & Zermatt

Winter Card

The package also includes the Winter Card, which provides access to various discounts and benefits at participating commercial, cultural and sporting activities.

This can add even more value to your stay.

What Is Not Included?

The following are not included in the advertised package price:

  • Tourist tax
  • Anything not specifically mentioned as included
  • Additional hotel services or personal expenses

The advertised rates are based on a standard double room in a 3-star hotel with half board.

Different accommodation categories are available upon request, so you don’t necessarily have to stay in a 3-star hotel if you’re looking for something more comfortable or luxurious.

Can You Stay in a Better Hotel?

Yes.

This is one of the things I would definitely recommend checking if you’re planning a special trip.

The promotional prices are based on the average rate for a standard double room in a 3-star hotel, but different accommodation categories can be quoted.

That means you can potentially build the same ski package around a higher-category hotel.

Cervinia has an excellent selection of accommodation, from traditional alpine hotels to modern 4-star properties and luxury 5-star hotels.

If you’re interested in staying somewhere special, I’d recommend checking out my guide to the best luxury hotels in Cervinia before booking your package.

Is This Promotion Good for Families?

Absolutely.

In fact, quieter periods can be particularly attractive for families.

Skiing in early November or late April can provide a more relaxed environment compared with the peak Christmas and February periods.

If you’re travelling with children, however, I would always recommend checking the exact opening status of the slopes and lifts for your chosen dates before booking.

Cervinia’s official website provides updated information on the ski area and lift operations.

My Advice as a Ski Instructor

After spending many winters skiing and teaching in Cervinia, I think this promotion makes the most sense for two types of visitors.

If you want maximum value:

Choose 4 or 5 nights in Cervinia and Valtournenche.

You’ll have plenty of skiing to enjoy without paying for the larger international area.

If you’re planning a proper ski holiday:

Go for 6 or 7 nights with the International ski pass.

This gives you enough time to explore Cervinia, Valtournenche and Zermatt without feeling that you have to rush from one side of the mountain to the other.

And if you’re coming in April, I’d definitely take advantage of the longer days.

Start early, ski the higher slopes while the snow is firm, enjoy lunch with a view and then spend the afternoon enjoying the spring conditions.

That’s one of my favourite ways to ski Cervinia.

Why I Think You Should Consider Booking Early

There is one important thing to remember.

The promotional dates may be quieter, but the best hotels can still fill up.

If you already know that you want to travel during one of these periods, I wouldn’t wait until the last minute.

The most attractive accommodation options can become unavailable even when there is still plenty of space elsewhere in the resort.

And if you’re looking for a specific hotel, room type or higher category of accommodation, booking early gives you considerably more choice.

The Best Times to Ski Cervinia for Less

If I had to choose between the two promotional periods, I’d look at it this way:

PeriodBest for
24 Oct – 4 Dec 2026First turns of the season, high-altitude skiing, quieter slopes
5 Apr – 2 May 2027Spring skiing, sunshine, longer days, relaxed atmosphere

Both periods offer something different.

The early-season promotion is perfect if you simply can’t wait to put your skis back on.

The April promotion is ideal if you love sunny spring skiing and want to combine great mountain days with a more relaxed holiday atmosphere.

Is Cervinia’s 30% Ski Pass Promotion Worth It?

In my opinion, yes.

If your travel dates are flexible, this is one of the most interesting ways to experience Cervinia during the 2026/2027 winter season.

You get:

30% off the ski pass

plus

4–7 nights of hotel accommodation

plus

half board

plus

4–7 days of skiing

plus

the Winter Card

And you can choose whether you want to ski exclusively in Italy or include the incredible terrain of Zermatt.

Most importantly, you get to experience Cervinia during two periods when the mountain can feel completely different from the busy peak-season weeks.

Less pressure.

More space.

Excellent high-altitude skiing.

And more money left in your pocket for the things that make a ski holiday special.

Final Thoughts

Cervinia doesn’t really have traditional “shoulder seasons” anymore.

Thanks to its altitude and connection with Zermatt, skiing is possible for an exceptionally long part of the year, while the official 2026/27 winter season runs from 24 October 2026 to 2 May 2027.

But if you want to combine good skiing, fewer crowds and better value, the periods covered by this promotion deserve serious consideration.

The 30% ski pass discount makes the package particularly attractive, especially for stays of six or seven nights.

And personally, if you asked me whether I’d rather ski Cervinia during a busy February week or spend a few days here in April with sunshine, good snow at altitude and much quieter slopes…

I know which one I’d choose.
