For our first meet-up, he chose a time and spot that was easy to access from our hotel, and also gave clear instructions. But most importantly, the lessons were fantastic. We started slow, on an easier run, during which Riky understood our current level. From there on it was only up. We had a good mixture of exercises, to improve our control of the skis, and some time purely enjoying the time on the slopes. While we started the morning somewhat uncertain, after a longer break, by the end of first day we took a turn to a red run and completed it without a fright. He is an amazing instructor who is brilliant with children and adults alike and able to get everyone skiing to the very best of their ability whilst having fun! Riki is an outstanding ski instructor in Cervinia. He combines great technical skills with a relaxed and engaging teaching style. This is the second year in a row that we’ve chosen Riki to teach our son and his three Irish cousins, and once again he exceeded all our expectations. Last year in Cervinia and this year in Courmayeur and La Thuile, he delivered an absolutely fantastic experience. Riki is incredibly patient, kind, and engaging with the kids, but at the same time firm and very clear when it comes to safety and respecting the rules on the slopes. The progress the children made in just one week was remarkable and a real pleasure to see. He is always extremely responsive, reliable, and helpful—not only with ski instruction but with every aspect of the holiday. From equipment rentals and accommodation tips to transport and great recommendations for places to eat or visit, Riki was a constant source of support. He is punctual, flexible, and always adapts to the children’s needs and energy levels. The extra touches really set him apart: the wonderful GoPro video capturing the kids’ progress throughout the week, and the lovely end-of-week ceremony with medals and treats, which made the experience truly unforgettable for them. Looking for a private ski instructor for young children, teenagers or adults, genuinely look no further than Riky! Over the past two seasons, Riky has taught all ages of our extended family in the beautiful Valle d’Aosta (Aosta Valley) in Italy (and near France) from Valtourneche to Cervinia to Zermatt to Courmayeur to La Thuile. Riky is the ultimate Ski Pro guiding all ages in a professional and patient manner. He is multilingual including being a very clear English speaking instructor. I really trust Riky in working with the kids in the family. He taught all the four kids ranging now from 4 to 10 together in a controlled manner, balancing teaching and fun. Riky had the children going from snow plough “pizza slice” to highly confident parallel turns in no time at all (so much so that one of the young ones started to give me technical ski tips!). He really is the best Maestro di Sci I have ever met. I am very grateful to him for the love of skiing he has given the children, a gift they will have forever. I have also really enjoyed my own lessons with Riky and my skiing technique has dramatically improved. Riky is also very hard working and generous in sharing his knowledge be that on ski equipment, clothing or most importantly the best spots for a coffee, food or apres ski on the Aosta Valley slopes!
